A message to all members of GlobalRisk community

Dear GlobalRisk community member,

Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success. (Henry Ford).

At the time of writing the GlobalRisk community has grown to over 760 registered members representing all continents and across the whole spectrum of the risk profession.
By the way if you've got a frog for a picture, hurry up and replace it!

Asking for your feedback.

Now it’s time to request your feedback on what type of community you want to be part of. To do this we have created two elements. Firstly, we published a new poll on the home page, where you can vote anonymously. Please go ahead and let us know what you think about our community and what type of activities you want to see. You can also use the link below and vote.

Secondly we have created two groups: The Advisory Board and the Panel of experts. One of the first issues to discuss with these groups will be the concept of “peer sourcing” or a “rating and recommendation community” and whether will it suit our community or not. There are many implications, including legal, creation of a trustworthy environment and process, as well as other technical and procedural issues.
There are still places available in both groups, especially in the Panel of Experts. Everyone who wants to join and contribute is welcome; just apply to your chosen group along with your motivation. The existing members of these groups are encouraged to post their comments and opinion on the discussion I posted there.

In the Panel of Experts we would like to see people who have more than 10 years experience in their area of expertise and are willing to contribute to the community in time and effort. For example, we would like to have experts with strong backgrounds in regulation, credit risk, market risk and OpRisk.
To apply click Panel of Experts
The Advisory Board is for people having leading positions in their industry or retired executives who want to contribute and advise on how to go forward with the community. To apply click Advisory Board
Please note that membership of these groups will not be automatic upon request, but will be pending approval.

We have also created the Press group. This group is for all creative people who were born with a golden pen and who are interested to contribute content and to be our point of contact with the press. All people having media connections are welcome here. To apply click Press Group.
